OPERA AND BALLET THEATRE OF BAKU
THE MULTIFUNCTIONALITY OF A HISTORIC THEATRE
Made in Project is at the base of the design and management for the renovation of the Opera and Ballet Theatre of Baku. The project proposes an extensive approach to the theatre space. Designed to satisfy the growing demand of different uses of the surface, it has been necessary to take into account its role in society as main place for social and cultural aggregation. For the best use of available spaces, the new Opera and Ballet Theatre of Baku has been designed as an extension of the city through a recovery of its historical role. Made in Project has set the goal to give life to a multifunctional theatre: new rehearsal and recording rooms, innovative solutions for loading and unloading, a new acoustic project both for the stage and the proscenium. The technology of the theatre and the new design have been the result of smart and quick planning for the set assembling and dismantling.
